How Teachers Use Technology in the Classroom

There are many ways teachers can integrate technology use in the classroom. Here are 3 ways: One is to make power point of a lesson, showing small clips from websites during a lesson, and finding websites that use games to teach and make learning fun.
Teachers who love to engage their students use Powerpoint in their lessons. You can walk into any classroom where a teacher is presenting a lesson with presentation software and you can be sure that teacher will have 100% student engagement and a high percent of students who master the objective the teacher just taught.
There are many websites that offer great educational short videos that teachers can use to support their lessons. Our students these days are becoming more and more visual learners and I think that teachers need to integrate the use of small videos in their lessons. Here are some websites that provide excellent short educational videos; Starfall.com, Brainpop.com, and UnitedStreaming.com.
One of the easiest ways to integrate technology in the classrooms is to use websites that have educational games. Teachers just need their laptop and their projection machine. All kids need a white board and a dry erase marker. The teacher can put up a question on the screen and all students can answer the question and after they answer the question the class can play a game. There can either play a game of bowling, basketball, baseball and many others to earn points as a class. The best part of it all is that it doesn’t take any planning on the teachers part, the games are standards based and the students in any grade level absolutely love it.
